Swathi Reddy

Swathi Reddy is a South Indian film actress and television presenter, who mainly appears in Telugu, Tamil and Malayalam movies. She has gained fame through the Tv show, "Colours" on Maa channel. She made her acting debut with 2005 movie Danger. Swathi has made her leading debut with Tamil film Subramaniyapuram and in Telugu with Ashta Chamma. Later she was seen in the movies like Kalavaramaye Madilo, Golconda High School, Swamy Ra Ra, Karthikeya and many more.

Biography

Swathi was born as Svetlana on 19 April 1987 in Vladivostok, Russia. Her family moved to Mumbai and then to the Eastern Naval Command in Visakhapatnam, where she spent most of her childhood. While studying in 11th class, she moved to Hyderabad and got graduated in Biotechnology from St. Marys College. She hosted her first television show at the age of 17. After completing the first year of her graduation, she made her debut in feature films.

Family

Swathi's father Siva Rama Krishna was an officer in the Indian Navy, who was trained as a submariner in the Soviet Union. Her mother is Indira Devi. She has one elder brother named Siddharth Reddy.

Career

Colours Swathi has started her television career by hosting popular show "Colors". She has been occasionally working as a voice actor and playback singer as well. In 2008, she has dubbed for actress Ileana D'Cruz in the film Jalsa. In 2010, she gave her voice to an HIV/AIDS education animated software tutorial created by the nonprofit organization TeachAIDS.

In 2011, actress Swathi turned playback singer, for the songs, from films like Katha, Screenplay Darshakatvam Appalaraju and 100% Love. In her acting career span of 10 years, Swathi has starred in nearly 20 movies in Telugu, Tamil and Malayalam. She was last seen in the Telugu films 'Karthikeya' and 'Tripura'. Currently she is busy with upcoming Tamil films.

Tripura is a horror thriller film directed by Raj Kiran and produced by A Chinababu, M Rajasekhar. The film starred Swathi Reddy aka Colors Swathi and Naveen Chandra in lead roles. The movie is about a girl named Tripura, whose weird dreams come true.
