Jacqueline Fernandez

Jacqueline Fernandez (born 11 August 1985) is a Sri Lankan actress and former model, and was the winner of the Miss Sri Lanka Universe pageant in 2006. She is primarily known for her work in Bollywood films.

Fernandez was born in Colombo to a Sri Lankan father and Malaysian mother, and was raised in Bahrain. She made her acting debut in 2009 with Aladin, and consequently featured in Jaane Kahan Se Aayi Hai (2010), both of which fared poorly at the box office.

She rose to prominence with a role in the erotic thriller Murder 2 (2011), which emerged as a profitable venture. Thereafter, she appeared in successful films like Housefull 2 (2012) and Race 2 (2013), and established herself as one of the most promising contemporary actresses of Hindi cinema. She is also a social activist, has participated in stage shows for award functions, and is a celebrity endorser for brands and products.
