Nithya Menon

Nithya Menon is an Indian film actress and playback singer, best known in South Indian films. In 1998 she made her acting debut as a child artist in an Indian English language film "Hanuman". She made her Telugu film debut with Ala Modalaindi. She has acted in many hit films in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam and even in English languages. Nithya was recently seen in Telugu movie Janatha Garage. 

Biography

Nithya was born on 8 April 1988, in Bangalore, Karnataka. She has completed graduation in Journalism at the Manipal Institute of Communication. She never dreamt about acting and loved to be a journalist. But later she decided to be a film-maker and joined a course in cinematography at the FTI Pune. During her enterance exam she met director Nandini Reddy, which turned Nithya into lead actress.

In an interview, actress Nithya Menon shared that, she fell deeply in love with her college mate and was in the relationship with him for a while. Janatha Garage is an action film, directed by Koratala Siva and produced under Mythri Movie Makers. The movie features Mohanlal, Jr NTR, Nitya Menon, Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Mohanlal in lead roles. The music is given by Devi Sri Prasad and movie has received positive reviews.

Career

Nithya Menon has made her first screen appearence at the tender age of 10 in the Indian English film "Hanuman". When she was in 12th, she got the leading role opposite great Malayalam actor Mohanlal in Aakasha Gopuram. She next made her Kannada debut with the film Josh. Her first Telugu movie was "Ala Modalaindi" alongside Nani, which earned her three awards. Later she was seen in the film 180 alongwith Siddharth and Priya Anand.

Nithya's 2012 release was the Telugu romantic hit film Ishq. In 2013, she starred in three Telugu films, Okkadine, Jabardasth and Gunde Jaari Gallanthayyinde. Nithya's 2016 movie are 24, Rajadhi Raja, Okka Ammayi Thappa and Janatha Garage.
