Dhanush

Dhanush is an Indian film actor, playback singer and lyricist working in the Tamil film industry. He has featured in several hit films like Kadhal Kondein, Pudhupettai, Aadukalam. He has won the National Film Award for Best Actor and Filmfare Award for Best Actor - Tamil for his performance in Aadukalam. He became world famous for his mega hit song "Why This Kolaveri Di". He has made his bollywood debut with a blockbuster movie Raanjhana. He was last seen in the film Rail.

Biography

Dhanush was born on 28 July 1984 to the Indian film director Kasthuri Raja and Vijayalakshmi as Venkatesh Prabhu. He has completed his education from St. John's Matriculation Higher Secondary School Alwarthirunagar. He has a brother named Selvaraghavan, who is also a director. He has entered into acting due to his brothers pressure. He is the son-in-law of superstar Rajnikanth.

Hollywood debut

Kolaveri Di boy Dhanush has reached high in his acting career. Now this fame has made him to feature in a Hollywood flick titled "The Extraordinary Journey Of A Fakir Who Got Trapped In An Ikea Cupboard". It is being directed by Iranian French director Marjane Satrapi. Dhanush has roped in opposite Uma Thurman and Alexandra Daddario in lead role. He will play as Aja, a conjurer from an Indian colony of artists, who is sent to Paris on a hush-hush mission by his mother. The movie will be released in January 2017.

Shamitabh is a 2015 bollywood comedy-drama flim directed by R. Balki which featured Amitabh Bachchan, Dhanush and Akshara Hassan in the lead roles. Dhanush was seen in the role as Daanish. 

Marriage/Wife

Dhanush got married to Rajnikanth's daughter Aishwarya on 18 November 2004. They have 2 chidren Yatra Raja (born on 2006) and Linga Raja (born on 2010). Dhanush met Aishwarya on the first day show of his film Kadhal Kondaen. Once the film was over, he was about to leave, then he was introduced to Rajinikanth's daughters Aishwarya and Soundarya. They just greeted each other and left. The next day, Aishwarya sent him a bouquet quoted with, 'Good work. Keep in touch'. He just took that very seriously and got married after their two years of love.

Career

Dhanush made his acting debut with Kasthuri Raja's film Thulluvadho Ilamai. He then appeared in his brother's first directorial venture, Kadhal Kondein. In 2007, he gave his next blockbuster Polladhavan. The next year, he paired opposite Nayantara in Yaaradi Nee Mohini which became a big blockbuster at the box office. In 2011 his movie Aadukalam was the super hit. Besides acting, Dhanush also worked as playback singer, producer and lyricist as well.

Dhanush's biggest success as a playback singer was "Why this Kolaveri Di" which became a youth anthem. In 2013 he appeared in Maryan opposite Parvathi Menon, which was applauded by critics. In 2014, he was seen in his 25th film Velaiyilla Pattathari by Velraj. He made his bollywood debut with R. Balki's Shamitabh.

Dhanush and Shruti Hassan

Dhanush has paired opposite Shruti Hassan in the film 3. Since then the gossips are rolling out that the two are in relationship. Buzz is that, they two have been seen together at various places and that superstar Rajinikanth has warned his son-in-law regarding the same. Sources also claimed that Dhanush's father Kasturi Raja has told Rajini that he would solve the issue.
