Shraddha Kapoor

Shraddha Kapoor is an Indian actress who appears in Bollywood films. She came into limelight with the romantic musical drama "Aashiqui 2" opposite Aditya Roy Kapoor. Later she was seen in Ek Villain, Haider, 3D dance movie ABCD 2. She has also launched her own fashion label IMARA. She was seen in the flick Baaghi and will soon be seen in Rock On 2.

Biography

Shraddha Kapoor was born on March 3, 1989 to the famous Hindi film actor Shakti Kapoor and Shivangi Kapoor. She did a part of her schooling from Jamnabai Narsee School, Juhu and completed her high school from Boston. She took up theatre studies during her college in Boston and continued with her graduation from India only. Later, she learnt direction and acting skills under the guidance of Mohit Tugnait.

As per the latest reports, Shraddha Kapoor has bagged the role in the Ajay Devgn starrer Golmaal 4. Kareena would be missing with the boys gang - Ajay, Arshad Warsi, Tusshar Kapoor and Shreyas Talpade in the movie due to her pregnancy.

Forthcoming Movies

Shraddha Kapoor will soon be seen in "Half Girlfriend" and 'Ok Janu' (remake of "O Kandhal Kanmani") opposite Arjun Kapoor and Aditya Roy Kapoor respectively. She will next be seen in Excel Entertainment's Rock On 2 opposite Farhan Akhtar. It is directed by Shujaat Saudagar, is set to release on November 11. 

Shraddha has been roped in for Apoorva Lakhia's Haseena. Previously actress Sonakshi Sinha has been choosen but she has opted out. She has also been approached to play the female lead in Dhadkan 2 alongwith Suraj Pancholi and Fawad Khan.

Boyfriend/Dating

As per the reports, Shraddha Kapoor is very much single and is not dating anyone. About her link-up with Aditya Roy Kapur, she said, "We were never a couple. It was just a rumour and people got carried away with Aashiqui 2 and started believing that we were a couple."

Family

Shraddha kapoor was born into a filmy family. Her father Shakti Kapoor is popular for negative roles in Bollywood and her maternal aunt Tejaswini Kolhapure and Padmini Kolhapure - sister of Shivangi Kapoor, are also famous Bollywood actresses. She got inspired from her aunt Tejaswini to enter Bollywood, rather than her father. 

Shraddha's elder brother Siddhanth Kapoor is a former Disc Jockey (DJ), actor and an assistant director. Her brother made his Bollywood debut with "Shootout at Wadala" in 2013 and also was the assistant director for the same film. She was never shy about her father's villainous image but proud of her upbringing done by her parents. Her father proved to be the strength in her career's struggling days.

Career

Shraddha Kapoor has made her Bollywood debut in 2010 with the film Teen Patti which starred Amitabh Bachchan and R. Madhavan. Her performance was praised by everyone and also was ranked 3rd in Times poll for the Hottest New Face-Female of 2010. In 2011, she was then seen as Rhea in 'Luv Ka The End' playing the role of up-town girl. Later she shot to fame with the flick Aashiqui 2.

Shraddha was awarded "Stardust Searchlight" Award For the Best Actress in 2012. She appeared in a guest appearance for the romantic comedy Gori Tere Pyaar Mein. Kapoor next reunited with Suri for the thriller Ek Villain (2014), for which she also sang the song "Galliyan". In 2014, her second release was Vishal Bhardwaj's critically acclaimed drama Haider. She played the Ophelia character, a journalist named Arshia, opposite Shahid Kapoor.
