Dulquer Salmaan


Dulquer Salmaan is a South Indian film actor, who mainly works in Malayalam cinema. He made his acting debut with Malayalam movie Second Show. In 2014, he made his Tamil debut with Vaayai Moodi Pesavum, for which he received Filmfare Award for Best Male Debut. He was seen in the hit movies like ABCD, Neelakasham Pachakadal Chuvanna Bhoomi, Bangalore Days to name a few. Dulquer has been voted as the Kochi Times Most Desirable Men 2014 based on online polls conducted by the Indiatimes Group.

Biography


Dulquer Salmaan aka DQ was born on 28 July 1986 in Kochi, Kerala. Till primary school he has studied at Toc-H Public School, Kochi, Kerala. Later he joined Sishya School in Chennai. He has done his bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Purdue University, U.S.. His first business venture was a Web portal for trading cars. He heads a dental business chain in Chennai and is also the director of Bangalore based Motherhood Hospital.

As per the reports, Dulquer Salmaan is all set to romance Sridevi's daughterJhanvi Kapoor. The actors have been roped in KV Vijayendra Prasad's next romantic flick. The movie will be shot in four languages Telugu, Hindi, Malayalam and Tamil.

Dulquer Salmaan is the son of Mammootty, who is an Indian film actor and producer mainly worked in Malayalam cinema. His mother Sulfath is a home maker. He has one elder sister Kutty Surumi. Dulquer Salmaan is married to a Chennai-based architect Amal Sufiya on 22 December 2011.

Dulquer Salmaan has started his acting career with 2012 movie Second Show followed by Ustad Hotel, Theevram, ABCD: American-Born Confused Desi and many more. He has worked in 1 Tamil film, O Kadhal Kanmani, directed by Mani Ratnam which was a blockbuster hit and is also being remade in bollywood by Shaad Ali, with Aditya Roy Kapur and Shraddha Kapoor in the leads.
