Ajith Kumar 

Ajith Kumar is an Indian film actor, who is known for his Tamil and Telugu movies. He made his lead debut with Tamil movie Amaravathi. Later his first Telugu movie is Prema Pustakam. He gained huge fame by playing triple role in movie Varalaru (Tamil) and also for his sensitive character in Kireedam. He has won 4 Filmfare Best Actor Awards. He is one of leading actors working predominantly in Tamil cinema with more than 60,000 fan clubs throughout Tamil Nadu. Ajith also had a small role as Asokas brother in Shah Rukh Khans Asoka (Hindi).

Ajith Kumar was born on 1 May 1971 in Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh. He has attented Asan Memorial Senior Secondary School and dropped out mid may to pursue his career in car racing. He is a professional car racer and was ranked as the third best race driver in India. After injuring himself in an accident he started to put more attention to his modeling and film career. Ajith was listed No. 51 in Forbes India's Top 100 Celebrities for the Year 2014.

Ajith Kumar was born to P.Subramaniam and Mohini in a Tamil Brahmin family. He has two brothers, elder one is Anoop Kumar, a stockbroker and younger Anil Kumar is an engineer. He had younger twin sisters, both of whom were died young. He is married to actress Shalini. Ajith is the brother-in-law to actor Richard Rishi and actress Shamili.

Ajith Kumar dated his co-star Shalini during the filming of Amarkalam in 1999. The couple got married in 2000 according to the customs of both Hindu and Christian religions. They are blessed with a daughter named Anoushka on 3 January 2008. After their marriage Shalini has retired as an actress and became full-time housewife. On 2 March 2015, Shalini gave birth to a son Aadvik. 

Career

Ajith Kumar has began his career in supporting roles with Telugu film and gained recognition in Tamil industry. Before his acting career, he worked as a two wheeler auto mechanic. At the age of 18, Ajith took up a job to support his career in racing. He debuted in En Veedu En Kanavar (1990) in a minor role. His 2010 film Aasal was a biggest hit in the industry.

Ajith has created the non-profit organisation "Mohini-Mani Foundation", named after his parents, in order to promote self-hygiene and civic consciousness and to help ease the problems of urban sprawl. Kumar worked with Siva 2015 Vedalam. 

Racing

Ajith is very much keen in racing and has driven in circuits around India in places such as Mumbai, Chennai and Delhi. He took part in 2004 British Formula as a Formula Two racing driver. He is one among very few Indians to race in International arena and only Indian actor to compete in Formula championships. He drove in the 2003 Formula Asia BMW Championships. He raced in the 2010 Formula 2 Championship along with two other Indians, Armaan Ebrahim and Parthiva Sureshwaren. He took this bike ride from Chennai to Bangalore on 18 August 2013 in order to create awareness of safety driving.
