Avinash Sachdev is an Indian television actor best known for his role of Dev in Chotti Bahu. In 2008, he got his first television role in the serial Karam Apna Apna followed by Khwaish and Kis Desh Mein Hai Meraa Dil. He was last seen in Colors' daily soap Balika Vadhu.

Biography

Avinash Sachdev was born on 22 August 1986 in Mumbai. In 2004, Sachdev moved to Mumbai to pursue his modelling career after winning titles like Mr. Baroda, Mr. University and Mr. Gujarat. When he was preparing for the Indian Administrative Service exams, he began modeling and competed successfully in beauty contests for men.

In Balika Vadhu

Avinash Sachdev was seen in the popular series Balika Vadhu which aired on Colors. He has played the role of Dr. Amit in the show which also starred Mahi Vij and Ruslaan Mumtaaz in the lead roles.

Family

Avinash was born in Mumbai and brought up in Vadodara, Gujarat. Being the only child in the family, his parents always wanted him to opt for a career in Police but destiny has brought him into acting. He has prepared for the Indian Administrative Service exams along with participating in beauty pageants. With the success achieved in modelling he chose acting career. 

Marriage/Wife

Avinash Sachdev and Shalmalee Desai have met on the sets of Iss Pyaar Ko...Ek Baar Phir and fell in love. The duo tied knot on 12 June 2015 in a private cermony. The marriage took place in Silvasa, Gujarat. Their reception was held on June 14th at hotel Mayfair Banquets. 

Career

Avinash's first notable acting role was in a TVS Scooty commercial with film actress Preity Zinta. He has done many other ad films like Cadbury Dairy Milk, GRT Jewellers and eBay. Then followed a series of successful daily soaps. He always wanted to become a director. In fact, he has started his career as an assistant director. But as it is always said, to be a successful director, one has to know the minute details of acting and vice-versa.
